Having shining, bright, white teeth has become a norm for our society—something that is associated with confidence and good hygiene. This was not always the case, as by nature our teeth are not pure white; it used to be that only children and few young adults had white teeth! Just like developing gray hair, yellowing teeth were accepted as a part of the aging process. However, media, current pop-culture, and visually-perfect celebrities have changed our standards for our smiles. Just as you never see wrinkles or dyed-hair roots on a polished celebrity, you do not expect to see a healthy man or woman of any age to have yellow, discolored teeth.

For teeth that have been stained due to internal causes, bleaching (at home in the Beverly Hills office) will often not be enough to whiten the teeth. In the case of extremely stained teeth that cannot be bleached, Dr. Zadeh may recommend porcelain veneers. Veneers are a great way to correct not only stained teeth, but chipped or crooked teeth as well. Veneers are a way of completely re-doing your teeth; ceramic porcelain is placed on the front of your teeth, providing you with a brand new, bright, straight smile.

On your first visit with Dr. Zadeh, you and Dr. Zadeh will discuss your current dental health, and what results you are hoping to achieve. Then, you will determine what size, shape, and type of veneers are best for you, in order to best complement your smile, face shape, and desired aesthetic outcome.

If you chose to proceed with the porcelain veneers, Dr. Zadeh will prepare your teeth for the veneers. To do this, Dr. Zadeh must remove some of the current enamel on your teeth, giving the veneers a place to fit into. Then, you will receive temporary veneers to protect your smile while your permanent veneers are constructed.

On your third visit, the permanent veneers will be put in place, and you will have finally achieved your new, perfected smile! As always, Dr. Zadeh will be happy to answer any questions you have about your new smile both before and after the procedure, and will be happy to see you for a follow-up appointment if you have any remaining concerns.
